Put simply, Jeremiah & the Non-Prophets is the most incredible Americana-Blues Twin Cities-based cover band you'll ever have the pleasure of discovering. We formed during COVID-19 when we all picked up new or dusted off old instruments and came together to make music, upgrade our skill set, build community, and have a whole lotta of fun during the apocalypse.

Drums
Jeremiah Zortman is our fearless leader who plays the drums fearlessly.
Bass
Jess Forsman is a Nurse by trade, Wife and Mama by domestification, and a Bassist out in the wild. She picked up the bass one long dark winter during Covid to learn her favorite songs and evenutally found herself in this exceptional group of musical explorers, including her big brother, Jeremiah. Offstage you can find her reading, snowboarding, traveling, kayaking, playing softball, and walking her dog.
Keys
Sara Shives is a producer of events large and small, local to international. Sara learned to play piano as a kid then rediscovered her enjoyment for playing a few years ago. She thanks this group of fabulous rag tag musicians for including her in the fun. She also sends thanks to her grandfather, who was a beautiful pianist, for getting her family the piano that started it all!
Guitar(s)
Brian Zetah works as a mental health professional at a local "non-prophet" when he's not laying down rhythm guitar. Starting as a teenager, he has played intermittently throughout his life as a bedroom player before getting up the nerve to play at an open jam where he was recruited to join the band. Outside of music, Brian enjoys watching Premier League soccer, cooking, and exploring his local library with his beautiful wife.
Guitar(s)
Kyle Kenyon began playing guitar after inheriting his grandfather’s handmade instrument six years ago. With no musical background, he sought out lessons and leaned on experienced players who were willing to show him the basics and keep him moving forward. Kyle now plays lead guitar—and occasionally sings—as a committed member of the band. For someone who never expected to perform at all, being part of this group is something he’s genuinely grateful for.
Sax
Drew Pannebecker first learned how to play the sax in grade school and now - 30 years later - is trying to get good at it. He has been on stage in some capacity since he was 8 years old and is a trained clown. When he’s not in rehearsal, he might be found doing puzzles, listening to vinyl, playing kickball, or watching movies. He is overjoyed to be included in this group of beautiful oddballs. Also, his favorite band is King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
Vocals
Kaitlen Osburn loves the stage. She works around the cities as a director, performer, playwright, and educator. Off stage, she works for a company that supports overnight summer camps. You can usually find her gardening, playing kickball, or wandering on trails along the Mississippi near her home.
Mascot
Melvin is our furry mascot and earns his keep at Showtime Studio & Coffee in Roseville, which has good coffee and even better vibes. Keep the door closed though, he is a trained escape artist!
